TOTK Lore

am i the only wondering how according to TOTK it was the first king and queen of Hyrule that sealed Ganondorf in the Imprisoning War, even though that literally takes place after OOT when Link is defeated. We see an  established Hyrule and Hyrulean royal family in OOT and in FS and MC before that. am i missing something? was there two separate imprisoning wars? 

This theory will probably go nowhere, but the sword Link's wielding in Echoes of Wisdom's intro looks oddly similar to the Phantom Sword. Handguard's shorter, the hourglass is absent and the blade does have a gradient as well as a more cyan colour, but just take a look.

It just looks too similar for me to shake that feeling. But, until EoW releases, we just have to wait...
