Whump Prompts: Recovery

Content: Recovery, murder, abuse, captivity, [implied] past minor whump, restraints, [mentioned] vivisections, branding, conditioning, muzzles, past non con.

Whumpee recovering from the trauma stemming from, not only all the abuse they went through, but the fact that they had to murder their abuser to get away from them.

Whumpee finally getting to experience the outside world for the first time in what feels like forever. Gawking at nature and how pretty everything is, excitedly pointing everything out to Caretaker as they go.

Crying when they see children playing in the park for the first time since their captivity because they had their entire childhood taken from them.

Learning about all the new inventions that came out while they were gone. Caretaker introducing them to mobile phones, that board game they'd been looking forward to playing before, the new gaming consoles, all the music Caretaker saved just because it made them think of Whumpee! It delights Caretaker to know that they get to show it all to Whumpee, after all.

The personality changes that have happened, whether that be due to conditioning/trauma/etc. A stoic whumpee now getting emotional at everything (not just because they're scared or sad - there's also a lot of happy/joyous tears shedded), an aggressive/angry whumpee who is just so loving and filled with adoration for everything, and vice versa.

Learning to break old habits. Realising it's okay to have and express opinions instead of bottling them up, it's okay to walk on their own two feet, it's okay to not want to spend every waking hour restrained because they're "dangerous".

Hating the freedom. Wanting structure and consistency in their life again, wanting no autonomy because it's so scary after years of living without it.

Having to learn to accept their more prominent scars. The outline of where their muzzle always sat around their face, the visible scars from all Whumper's poorly executed surgeries/vivisections (also the low-quality stitching up they did!), the mark from where they were branded.

Whumpees who immediately try (and fail) to go back to who they were before. They don't want to admit that it's not possible - they're in complete denial and end up hurting all their friends and family in the process.

That said, also having to grieve because they've lost the person they were. Does Caretaker secretly grieve with them? Do they miss the person Whumpee was?

The amount of hospital visits and treatments Whumpee needs to get following their return. Bones healing incorrectly, diseases they may have caught, badly infected wounds.

The letters they write to their abuser. Whether they actually send them or not is an entirely different story, but what do they say? Do they beg for forgiveness? Do they hurl insults at them? How coherent are their words?

Caretaker not getting to see them for the first few days/weeks because they spend so much of it holed up in their room, trying to forget about what happened. Maybe they're just so happy to finally be alone without having to worry about Whumper turning up and wanting something from them.

Sexually abused whumpees who experience hypersexuality.

Whumpees who become chronically overstimulated by the time they escape because of all the constant noise/bright lights that Whumper had around them.

Whumpee being manhandled into restraints:

Shoved up against a wall and handcuffed.

Pinned to the floor and handcuffed.

Fighting for each limb as they’re forced down on a table, slowly secured by leather restraints.

Overwhelmed by multiple Whumpers, each one working to subdue them.

Yanked back by their hair so a collar or rope can easily be fitted around their throat.

Pinned while in combat (double points for being caged against a wall or trapped in a chokehold)

Improvised restraints like belts, sheets, or clothing when Whumpee won’t be still enough to retrieve proper ones.

Manhandled in a hospital bed, held down for the duration of a procedure.

Injected with a chemical restraint, a sedative or numbing agent that quickly bleeds the fight out of them.

Struggling as a muzzle is wrestled over their head and secured.

A blow to the head that knocks Whumpee out or makes them too dizzy to fight anyone off.

Learning to Beg

[tw: whipping, strangulation, blood loss]

The whip cracked hard against Whumpee's stomach. The skin split that time. They groaned, sagging against the chains that twisted their wrists high above their head. Somehow, it hurt even worse on their front. Whumper had turned them a few minutes prior, saying their back was sufficiently welted and cut. Flipped them like a fucking pancake and started working on the other side.

"Still not going to say it?" Whumper mused, coiling the whip and stepping up to Whumpee's shivering form. "I'm really not asking for much, here."

Whumpee dragged their eyes from the floor, glaring at Whumper. "I'm not begging. I'm not your fucking dog."

Whumper's eyes narrowed, curious. They gently tipped up Whumpee's chin with the coiled whip. "You sure about that?"

Whumpee managed a small, annoyed sigh even with their ribs burning in protest. "It's not going to happen. I'd die before begging you for anything, psycho."

Whumper gave a small smile. "Well considering the fact that you're still talking, I think you can take quite a bit more before you're at the breaking point. But..." They stepped away, considering.

Whumpee saw a spark light up in their eyes. That was…unsettling.

Whumper turned away, smiling. "If you're so sure you won't break, I believe you. No point in fussing with it anymore."

Whumper tossed the whip into the corner. It skittered and unraveled as it came to a rest against the wall. It left tiny streaks of blood across the ground wherever it touched. Whumpee stared at it. "Wha-what do you mean?"

Whumper headed for the door, "Just what I said. No more whip. You're clearly not going to beg for me, so I'll go work on someone who will."

Whumpee's eyes widened. Caretaker.

But they were practically still bleeding from yesterday...Whumper wouldn't.

Whumper stepped out of the room.

They would.

Whumpee pulled against the chains. Their ripped and swollen skin screamed in response, but they kept twisting and wrihting, trying to get a hand free.

Whumper returned moments later, dragging Caretaker by one arm. They could barely keep up, stumbling and dizzy from blood loss. Whumper hadn't even bothered to restrain them. Caretaker's eyes met theirs, frantic and wide for just a moment before they blinked it away. They gave Whumpee a small, reassuring smile, but their eyes couldn't quite match it.

"What are you doing? You'll kill them!" Whumpee jolted against the chains, but they still wouldn't budge. Of course they wouldn't.

Whumper grinned, pulling Caretaker in front of them to face Whumpee. "Quite possibly. They're much closer to the breaking point than you are."

Whumpee's hands itched to reach out and touch Caretaker. They were so close. Whumpee could probably kick them if they tried, but that's not exactly reassuring or helpful.

"It's okay, Whumpee. It's cool. Don't worry about me." They stood tall as soon as they found their balance, but their voice was shaking. Caretaker was always the strong one. They were never afraid. This was wrong. So so very wrong.

Whumper wriggled one arm behind Caretaker's elbows, pinning their arms back with little resistance. They grimaced as Whumper's other hand slithered up to their throat. Caretaker scoffed, "Geez, ever heard of personal space?"

Whumper ignored them, looking to Whumpee. "So, what's it gonna be?"

Whumpee pulled again against the chains, their eyes burning a hole through Whumper. "Don't you dare. Don't you dare hurt them."

Whumper smirked. Careker's eyes went wide as the hand squeezed around their neck.

"No!" Whumpee tried to control their breathing. Tried to not look panicked. "Don't. Leave them out of this! You've done enough!"

Whumper laughed in response. Caretaker started to writhe. Their face was turning red already. "Apparently I haven't." They squeezed tighter, and Caretaker started to panic. They struggled and twisted, but Whumper held them still with little effort.

Whumpee stared, desperate to move, to help, to do anything. All they could do was pull against their bruised wrists more.

"Oh, now this is fun," Whumper chuckled. "Again, I'm not asking for much. I just want you to beg a little."

Whumpee's head spun as Caretaker choked and hissed. Their eyes were starting to lose focus. So fast. Way too fast. Caretaker wasn't in any state to handle this shit.

"Okay! Fine!"Whumpee sputtered. "Please! Please jut let them go."

Whumper smiled at that. “Hmm…” Their hand didn't move. "I don't think that's good enough."

"Wh-what!?" Caretaker's struggling was starting to slow, their jerks were turning into lethargic writhing. Whumpee growled, "What do you mean not good enough!"

"Well, you refused to beg me to stop hurting you before, so I think now you should beg me to hurt you instead of them. I think that would even the scores, don't you?"

"Fuck you."

Whumper smiled in response, their fingers not loosening even a little as Caretaker sagged against them. Whumpee panicked. "Come on, let go. They're passing out, you're going to fucking kill them if you don't let go!"

Whumper clicked their tongue. "Those aren't the words I wanted to hear," they chastised.

Caretaker's eyes went dark as they stumbled down, held up only by Whumper's grip. Whumper was really willing to let Caretaker die. Inches in front of them.

"Okay fine! Please, let them go. Hurt me instead. Whip me. Make me scream - whatever you want. Just let them go, I'm begging you!"

Whumper smirked. "Good timing, I could feel their pulse slipping." Caretaker crumpled to the ground as Whumper stepped back.

They weren't moving.

Fuck they weren't breathing. Whumpee stopped breathing too.

Whumpee looked frantically between Caretaker's crumpled form and Whumper, who was also staring at Caretaker.

Whumper raised their eyebrows at Caretaker, expectant.

Nothing. They checked their watch. Whumpee jerked against the chains uselessly.

Whumper gave Caretaker a swift kick.

Caretaker gasped to life as the boot collided with their spine.

"Ah. There we go."

Whumper stepped over them, heading toward the discarded whip. Caretaker rolled onto their stomach, coughing and sputtering, gasping for air.

Whumpee took in a deep, shaky breath. They were okay. It was fine. Everything was fine. For now.

Whumpee chanced a whisper. They could hardly breathe. "You good?"

Caretaker coughed again and rolled onto their back. "Yeah. Peachy." their voice was horse. Barely functional. More a whisper than anything.

"I'm so sorry."

Caretaker tried to clear their throat, choking on the sound. They managed an amused smile, their eyes still unfocused. "Don't be. You know I'm into the choking thing."

Whumpee couldn't bring themselves to laugh when Caretaker was panting on the ground.

Whumper returned with the whip, gripping Caretaker by the arm and dragging them over to the other side of the room. Caretaker didn't even try to fight, they just sagged against the wall, coughing, as Whumper sauntered up to Whumpee.

They reverently draped the whip over Whumpee's neck like they were presenting them with a medal. The cold, wet blood ticked against their bare skin. "Well done. That was very nice." Whumper tipped their chin up with a finger. "Now you're going to beg me to hurt you. Then when you can't take anymore, you're going to beg me to stop."

Whumpee glared at them. "I already fucking begged, we're done."

Whumper smiled. "Have it your way, but if you pass out without begging, I'm going to turn the whip onto Caretaker instead until you wake back up." They glanced at Caretaker who was barely sitting up straight in the corner. "Hopefully you snap out of it before they lose any more blood - I won't stop if they pass out."

Whumpee sputtered. "But I already...but you said-"

"What I said is that I wanted you to beg. And that's what you're going to do."

Whump Prompts: Found You

I just saw a fantastic post by @whumpingcrow and it got me thinking about when an *almost* recovered, escaped whumpee is found by whumper again. So here's a list of ways for Whumper to say 'found you'.

Whumpee walks into their home, takes off their shoes, hangs up the keys, and goes to flop on the couch. But they see someone is already there. Whumper gives them a big smile, “I was wondering when you’d be back. Let’s go, I already packed up your things.”

Whumpee getting a text from an unknown number: “Tag! You’re it.”

Whumpee picking up their office phone at work and freezing when they hear Whumper’s voice. “Ah, there’s that lovely voice. No, don’t you dare hang up on me. We have some things to discuss.”

Whumpee working tech support and getting randomly connected to Whumper. Freezing up as they recognize their voice, trying to change their own. Not knowing if Whumper knows it’s them and trying to find a way to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Then they hear, “You know, I don’t think I’m going to be able to get this on my own. Maybe I should give you my address and you can come help me. Better yet, give me yours and I’ll come get you.”

Whumper getting a letter and opening it at the mailbox. “I didn’t think I’d find you in a real house, especially not one with such a well-stocked fridge. Congratulations. Really, you’ve outdone yourself. I’m so proud.”

A note on their desk at work in all too-familiar handwriting: “See you soon! <3”

Whumpee coming home to find a bouquet of their favorite flowers on their table. Flowers only Whumper ever got for them.

Getting random text that says, “I can’t say I like the new name. It doesn’t suit you. However, I AM a huge fan of your outfit today. You know red’s my favorite color on you.”

Whumpee having coffee alone at a busy cafe when Whumper slides into the seat across from them. “It’s been so long! You’re looking great.” Whumpee can’t manage to do anything but stare as they hands start shaking.

An exhausted Whumpee driving home from work. They flinch and swerve as they feel a knife at their throat. “Take a deeeeep breath. Just keep driving and do what I say, and you’ll be fine.”

Whumpee just walking down the sidewalk as an arm tugs around their waist. They look up to see Whumper pressed close. They try to stop walking, but Whumper tugs at their hip and they are too afraid to pull away. “Don’t fight me. Just keep walking and this will turn out much better for you.”

Whumpee waking up in the middle of the night to Whumper standing over them. This still happens several times a week, but it’s always just a dream. They take a deep breath, blink hard, and flip on their lamp, trying to make the image fade, but it’s real this time. “You look surprised to see me. Didn’t I tell you I’d always find you? Now get dressed. We’re leaving.”

Whumpee answers to door and freezes when they see Whumper’s smile. “I was in the neighborhood and thought I’d stop by. Aren’t you going to invite me in?”

Whumpee sees Whumper leaning against their car when they get to it in the parking garage. “Shhh shhh. Don’t talk. Don’t move. Don’t scream. I’m already very angry with you. You don’t want to make it worse, do you?” Whumpee just shakes their head in small jerky motions.

Whumpee taking out the trash to the dumpster in the alley after work. Whumper appearing out of nowhere and backing them into a corner. “You can walk to my car and get in the trunk, or I’ll use this and carry you. Your choice.”
