Look, I just make the jokes that by all means someone else should have made by now. Youtube videos infrequently.

Thought up a ton of “lore” stuff that fills a bunch of gaps in a story I’ve been ruminating on for years now. Added it to the running document I have about this stuff, and now it’s a bigger mess of disorganized text. I came across my old concept drawings of the characters, and since I’ve barely even drawn since then I don’t know if at this point I could do any better, which is kinda sad. My ambition far exceeds my skill, and even exceeds my drive to act on any of it. Maybe I should post some of this stuff; it’s not good enough to be worth stealing, and perhaps putting it out there would motivate me more to actually flesh it out and start drawing more.
1. What's their full name? If they're an alien and their name is in their native planet's language, have you thought about what it means?
2. Say your OC made a playlist on Spotify. What bands would be on that playlist? Any specific genres?
3. What kind of video games would they play? Any specific titles?
4. What would their favorite cartoons be, and why? What would their favorite characters be?
5. What's their favorite type of weather? Do they like to do anything specific on days when the weather is how they like it?
6. If they're a fan of Hot Chocolate, Tea, or Coffee, how do they like either of those drinks prepared?
7. What kind of animals would they like as a pet? What names would they give their pets if they got any? If they already have pet's what are their names?
8. How does your OC keep track of time? Do they have a planner? A calendar?
9. How do they write? Do they write in cursive? How do they dot their i's and j's? Do they have specific ways that they write certain letters?
10. What's their favorite time of day?
11. What kinds of foods and drinks do they like? Do they like certain foods to be fried? Do they prefer certain foods to be prepared hot/cold?
12. If they were an actual character in an animated film or TV series, who would they be voiced by? Do they have a certain accent that the person would need to perfect?
13. If you are an artist, and if your OC can draw as well, could you replicate what their artstyle looks like? Or, if you can't, could you describe it?
14. If your OC owned a Tumblr blog, what kind of content would they post?
15. How do they type? Do they use emojis? Do abbreviate and shorten words?
16. If your OC was a film director, what kind of movies would they make?
17. If your OC was a musical artist, what genres would they do?
18. What type of singing voice does your OC have?
19. Does your OC like to collect things? What kind of things do they collect?
20. Was your OC inspired by anything? Another character? A person?
This is such a weird decision, especially following the rumors that it would have dual audio. I don't think I'd use it, but it doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to implement? Especially since this means the audio is right there in the game files. And it's not without precedent, Fire Emblem and Xenoblade had dual audio.
Zelda: If You Change Nintendo Switch Settings To Japanese You Can Play With Japanese Text And Voice
It would appear as though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t support dual audio and text in the way as you would expect.
It’s too bad she’s super dead. If only the splatfest weren’t so high-stakes.
Some bits from the Nintendo Switch conference.
The new Jojo game for the Switch looks pretty rad.
now with video accompaniment.
I made another one.
Me: Well, at least 2016 can't get any worse-
Super Best Friends Play: Matt and Liam are both leaving the channel or at least taking an indefinite leave of absence due to stress on their mental health
Me, with tears in my eyes: what the HELL.
You know what, I actually put some effort into this one, so here. Have a look.
Done.
I will pay someone to "Celine-the-Scene" where Marco grabs Star's hand, preventing her from being sucked into the green vortex. (AKA replacing the background soundtrack of the scene with the iconic song 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion, featured in the Titanic.
Fandom, assemble.
guess again.
Death Stranding will never come out
when you sort through your open windows and suddenly find all the ads that were making noise
ADS THAT SUDDENLY TAKE UP THE WHOLE PAGE
I finally saw the Lady Layton trailer. I like her look, but it felt like it was lacking something critical, so I did a quick mockup redesign
level5 pls hire me.
don’t know if I ever asked this here but
In a story I’ve had rolling around my head for a few years, there’s a prominent protagonist named Kat. Recently, I’ve been wondering if that’s actually a terrible protagonist first name, given the prominence of various permutations of Katherine as names for main characters in YA fiction in the past 15 or so years. I’m wondering if that’s something I could play off of (her last name would be some sort of play on the words “last name” due to a paperwork mishap generations ago, which, coupled with a cliche first name, could be almost a dig at protagonist names in general), or if I should just change it to something less cliche.
Thoughts?
I’m not sure what I expected.
I’ve been following this webcomic for 5 or 6 years. My readership has spanned a stretch of time that covers my entire adult life and a majority of high school. The gigapause stretched over a period when I couldn’t actually read any updates, as though it was waiting for me somehow. The only people I could consider “internet friends” I met through this shared interest.
Even if Homestuck didn’t drastically change the course of my life like I’m seeing it’s done for so many others writing sappier posts than this, it still represents a huge portion of my life. This comic has outlived schooling experiences, friendships, life phases. It’s so weird that it can come to a close like that and the whole rest of the world can just move on so casually.
I don’t know if I could ever just be ready.
This is dang sick. Does anyone have more information on the production of this thing
WARNING: This film contains flashing lights which may not be suitable for photosensitive epilepsy
After a year or so at chipping away at this project I’m happy to finally share it with everyone! I couldn’t have done it without my amazing friends and hyper-talented crew! There’s a whole lot more to the universe and characters than are shown in the trailer so I’ll leave this small blurb here to hint at something larger:
“Analog, the last android in existence, is a fast and loud warrior with an axe to grind against the rulers of her world, but her mission of revenge might lead her to become the savior of something she couldn’t care less about - mankind.” ©Jeremy Polgar 2016 All rights reserved
I hope you enjoy!
Please be sure to check out the music from the trailer by Perturbator and SUNG!!!
Just tossed this together.
Highlights:
The projected total cost of all DLC for Smash Bros for both consoles is $101.23. For only one console it’s between $72-$74.
To just get the fighters and stages would be between $39.41-$56.38
Also, buying in any of the collections saves no money compared to buying the individual collection items separately.
I’ve had a story idea rolling around my head for a long time and I’ve been basically spinning my wheels trying to hone my skills (read: procrastinating and doing a lot of unrelated things) to make it into a webcomic. Had a title picked out and everything that felt tonally relevant to the story and characters. I was going to call it Anywhere But Here; it seemed pertinent to this tone of restless personalities that are distinctly tied to the setting of the piece. I even recently reserved a tumblr url for that name (took me a while to find a variation that wasn’t already occupied).
I should’ve checked to be sure the name wasn’t already taken.
Not only are there several books by that name (I figured this was workable) there’s also a Natalie Portman film that comes up every time you google “Anywhere But Here”.
I spitballed about the pipe dream of someday having the goal of surpassing this movie in terms of google search result priority. And if that ever happened, tweeting at Natalie Portman as if it were something she would have given a crap about and probably she would never see it but it’d be dumb fun inside joke made very outside.
Then I decided to more specifically google “anywhere but here webcomic”
and wouldn’t you know it
In hindsight, you’d think that would’ve been my first step.
It’s some dumb newspaper comic style rag that hasn’t updated since 2006/2008/I don’t actually care when. Not something I’d really want to be accidentally associated with.
And just like that, down crashed any dreams of a fake made-up rivalry with Natalie Portman.
I'm about to quit the internet (and most other forms of entertainment media) for at least two years.
I'm going to become a missionary for my church (LDS). I'll be serving in an area near DC in Virginia.
This of course means this blog will be completely inactive.
So
bye I guess.
