Pampering myself is so magical. Pedicures, manicures, face masks, bubble baths, warm drinks, sleeping early, amazing food. I have it all.
10.11.21// three years of work and this is the closest thing I have to a grad photo for two of my degrees 🎓🍾
A very special thank you to all of you who have followed me and my journey over the years, low key holding me accountable and cheering me on 😊
I started this blog 6 years ago during my undergrad to motivate myself to get into law school and here I am with two law degrees, 6 years later. A long way away from being on academic probation in my second year of undergrad.
Here’s to considering my SJD until I end up doing it ✨🍾

MK Čiurlionis: a Lithuanian artist that did nothing but paint and compose music for 6 years straight. Most paintings rarely leave Lithuania because they’re incredibly fragile (he couldn’t afford the durability of oil paints or large canvas) so I feel blessed to have seen his mythological cities, anthropomorphic mountains and clouds in a glorious array of colours in person.

i often take walks around the neighborhood in the evenings, and the other day i spotted a rabbit along the side of the street. i walked towards it and as one might expect, it hopped off into the brush. as i got closer i noticed there was actually a narrow path there i’d never noticed before.
i followed down this path and saw the rabbit again. as soon as i drew near it would hop off down the path a bit and seem to wait for me to catch up. it brought me to a magical little area i never knew existed, full of birds and frogs and a lovely section of wetlands.
i truly felt like a storybook character. i’m so glad i had my camera to snap photos of my adventure. i only had a 50mm lens so i was ill-prepared to photograph wildlife, but i went back again today with my zoom lens and captured some frogs and birds!
im going to tag all posts of and about this new place as “secret forest.’
[image description: the first photo is of a cottontail rabbit sitting on a narrow dirt path in a dense forest. the second and third photos are of the narrow path in different places. end image description.]
