Golden days ✨
Hey friends,
How are you? I have great news!! I got an A+ (1.0) in the hardest exam ever. I screamed so loud, I really could not believe it! It was the course I had feared the most. Mathematics have never been my favorite, so I really had to force myself to study - and it payed off. I'm really on the road of graduating with a 1.0 (A+) avarage and that just feels amazing. In the pictures you can see me studying for this exam. <3

MK Čiurlionis: a Lithuanian artist that did nothing but paint and compose music for 6 years straight. Most paintings rarely leave Lithuania because they’re incredibly fragile (he couldn’t afford the durability of oil paints or large canvas) so I feel blessed to have seen his mythological cities, anthropomorphic mountains and clouds in a glorious array of colours in person.
This may be stating the obvious very plainly, but every genre has an accompanying emotion that it is meant to evoke. They are:
Fantasy - Wonder
Sci-Fi - Wonder
Romance - Love/Warm Fuzzies/Heat
Mystery - Curiosity
Thriller - Anxiety/Anticipation
Horror - Anxiety/Fear/Anticipation
There are other genres and other emotions they're meant to evoke, but at least once in every story you have to hit these notes. A fantasy novel where nothing is out of the ordinary is just a historic fiction, which is a great genre! But it is not fantasy! Without the wonder of magic or strange cities or weird curses, it isn't what the reader wants.

This is the final year of 'prep'. By the end of this year I'll be in a position where I can move how I've always wanted. I'll be ready to live the life of luxury and power I've always wanted. I'm done living in working class survival mode.

a scooby doo series set in community college where the gang is in a criminology class and end up in a huge debate on the first day of class that leads to them starting a podcast talking about local urban legends, only to realize things aren’t quite adding up and they go to investigate for ~journalistic authenticity~ and end up solving a real-life crime disguised as supernatural occurrences. this happens every week and they’re frequently featured on the school newspaper. they only have twenty listeners

i have my last stressful exam of the month tomorrow and I am somehow simultaneously freaking out while also being way too chill about this.
january has been filled with learning how to draw, watching new girl, and making sunny side up eggs and catching up with friends i haven't spoken to in months. and I learnt more history this month than I have in the past two years combined. january is also the month i become physically incapable of waking up early, but ive been sleeping late to compensate for that. overall it's been a pretty chill month bc I know feb and march are gonna be way more stressful <3
