is it a good idea to post my art on here? I think it would be cute really because before i did post them on my insta and had like a public art account you know but then I didn't do much progress and i dont paint or draw regularly so i never really grew my account and ended up making it a private personal account. SO now.. should i post my art on here..? i'm sure that on tumblr there's at least ONE person who wanna see my art somewhere on this earth.
this reminds me of henry like.. im sick of people saying 'rip henry you would've loved lana del rey' LIKE i'm sure he would've hated everything about her i'm sorry...
I have so much to say about how the fandom reduces francis to his sexuality and generally misrepresents his character but i dont think im ready to open that can of worms yet so ill just leave it at that
You know what scares me?
The fact that I feel like I have a soul tie with Henry Winter. I don’t know how or when it started. But I feel that man in my blood and my bones everytime I feel alone.
Sometimes when I can’t sleep I just feel like he is laying beside me reading something he wants me to know as well.
So relatable but i wanna do the opposite! Like focus on philosophy and art and stuff instead of biology and physics since thats already like.. my uni major?
How i feel after saying i want to study mathematics knowing im dedicating my life to writing novels and reading and creating art and poetry and knowing various philosophers extensively
bought my first makeup with my own money hihihi i feel so good! bought a concealer and a lipstick.. need mascara and maybe blush but dont need much.. just for everyday use. I just use my face card <33 (please get it that im half joking)
I think as a community we should all stop the concept of aesthetic because its ruining our lives and im sick of having fun with someone and they go like 'let me just take a pic of this to post on my story'.. like.. okay? Also i went through so many 'aesthetics' and found out how limiting they are! Lemme just read this shakespeare teathrical piece while listening to slipknot and wearing my pink dress <3
The Greek Class didn't destroy Richard, he brought that on himself.
He chose to be destroyed and I am sure a part of him wanted to be.
He's the type of person who wants to be different, to be admired, to be apart from normal people.
That's why he tried to get in the Greek class in the first place even when Julian rejected him ounce, he wanted to be with the elites, to be exclusive.
Richard does show remorse for his actions at times but that doesn't mean he didn't find it thrilling.
He wanted an adventure, to see a tragedy, to be part of something dramatic and exciting. He was bored in his little town, around distant parents and normal friends.
He has always felt like he was above other people and he does look down on others who don't understand or follow his ideals.
His idolization of the Greek class is the reason he got destroyed, he was blinded by the opportunity to be included and accepted by them that he didn't look back at the mistakes he made for them.
Richard's story is a cautionary tale about foregoing your sanity and ethics for a broken, one sided friendship. They used him again and again, he did everything for them. Never questioning what he was really doing.
In the end, he was never a part of their group.
He was just there.
whenever i’m having a bad day, i always remind myself that henry marchbanks winter is over 6 foot, buff as fuck, and broke a dudes ribs and collarbone and not even 6 guys could get him to stop fighting
and i understand camilla a little more
"because of woke" is the funniest reason for anything. cant kill politicians anymore, because of woke. cant find a parking spot, because of woke. cant nap all day, because of woke.
Bunny being made out to be the worst person in tsh by the fandom cause hes homophobic like the rest werent literal murderers ... u guys are silly as hell
unpopular opinion i think that bunny was the most.. morally correct one of them and he's nearly normal unlike them
Tsh fandom has many many faults but by far the most irritating is when they decide to nitpick which actions are justifiable or even non-existant and which are disproportionately vile and irredeemable just so they can place some characters (francis, camilla) on a higher moral plane than others (bunny, charles) like they weren't all equally awful people and the point wasnt that they were all batshit crazy
rip henry winter you wouldve HATED mobile phones and social media .
like seeing an ipad kid would genuinely give him an aneurysm
Everyone has been real quiet since Imane Khelif started a legal process against Rowling (and Musk). Say what you want about the situation but what Rowling did (spread misinformation, using Khelif's image as a boogeyman) was actually wrong. And it sadly continues what we've seen a lot in gender critical spaces: its deterioration into a reactionary movement.
no but im not even close im literally muslim but we still get that stereotype..
shoutout to everyone whose ethnicity gets stereotyped as being alcoholics so you don’t wanna admit it when you actually might have a problem bc you’re ashamed of “confirming” the stereotype. what the fuck are we supposed to do
One thing i can yap and yap on about for ages is the fact that the greek class cant for the life of them grasp the fact that bunny is upset by the murder of the farmer
When henry is telling the story of the bacchanal to richard, he says bunny couldnt understand how serious the situation was because he was freaking out which is funny, because he was the only one who understood
Henry also said that bunny wasnt upset about the murder but rather about the fact that theyd gone without him, and that he couldn't possibly care that theyd killed a man because he wasnt "exactly the most moral man" as if u needed to be fucking gandhi to realize that killing someone is wrong
When bunny started acting out they were all convinced he was doing it out of spite or to get under their skin, completely ignoring the signs that showed he was having a complete nervous breakdown and was slowly losing his mind because of what they had done
This is because they themselves did not see the act as something that was morally wrong, but rather an inconvenience for them. Like francis said, it wasnt voltaire they killed. They were so out of touch with reality that they lived not in this world but in one where morality doesnt exist, one they are the center of where the gods personally descend to be by their side. They lived in their ancient tales and greek poems. Bunny was the only one who was grounded and they cant understand that. It doesnt even begin to cross their minds. And its the same with bunnys death, they dont care about the morality of it because in their mind they are closer to gods than to humans and gods do whatever they please. They can kill a farmer and who cares? Its not like he was voltaire. They can kill their friend and who cares? Heroes kill and heroes die all the time.
this distance between them and the real world is the most important part of their characters because it explains everything else, from the incest to henrys suicide. Bunny was the only one who was rooted to reality which is what always set him apart from the rest and most importantly why things started to spiral out of control as soon as they killed him. He was their anchor to the real world and to sanity.
i would die to hear you sing it or at least pronounce it so that i could learn it myself
So every who voted in the poll voted for me to translate "I'm Your Man" by Mitski into latin so here it is.
"Tuum Virum Sum"
Tu es angelum, sum canem
Aut, tu es canem et tuum virum sum
Me quasi deum credas
Te quasi sum deleam
Me paenitet unum sum amas
Nemo umquam me amabit quasi feceris
Ita cum me relinquis ut moriar
Mereor id, nolone?
Sentio id esse contiguum
Quasi est lux, reducens ad viam
Unus dies, nosces me
Canibus iudicabor
Populi semper dedit me amorem
Tandem alii erant numquam culpare
Me quasi deum credas
Te quasi virum prodam
There it is if this gets 2000 notes (not happening) I will sing it
I.. indeed did not finish it before 'intensified school work' but at least I graduated high school with excellent grades.. (slayed too much)
I'm currently reading the secret history and im at like 200pages. I need to finish this before we get into deep school work
literally same stuff but.. it did have consequences lol
unfortunately i am a leaver... i left a required uni welcome event cus it was like 9am and i wanted food and i didn't want to be there. later that day i was forced into a small group with like 15 other freshmen and we were supposed to "build community" with ice breakers and shit and i just said "hey yall i have to do something real quick" and i just walked away and went home. i used to leave in the middle of class in high school and college ALL THE TIME .. there were consequences too i didnt gaf!!! unfortunately this means i have become the most avoidant person on the planet and if anything slightly annoys me (including people) i will walk away without saying a word... oh well! if it sucks hit da bricks!!!!
In light of Imane Khelif's lawsuit against jk Rowling, and in the same vein as Tim waltz' "weird" I think we honestly should just call joanne a bully literally any time she starts Terfposting. Like a cat with a spray bottle
So fucking cool i had to repost
In my first year university course there was a class I remember as being mandatory (at least for English majors) about fallacies and biases in writing. And this prof was all about reading the whole article before you formed your argument. That was his whole thing. You know measure twice cut once he was read twice respond once. He stressed this so much that on our final exam (which was two long form essay questions and a few short answer questions) that I decided to read the WHOLE exam booklet before I grabbed my pen.
Turns out that is what he wanted. The final page, the final question, informed the student that if they wrote 1. Their name, 2. Their student number 3. Their favourite fallacy, and wait for 30 minutes so they don't arouse suspicion, you will literally be given 100 percent for the exam WORTH 40 PERCENT OF YOUR GRADE.
I think about it to this day. The prof literally saw the "reading comprehension on this site is piss poor" and said I can fix them
I wonder if there's ever been a notable unarmed political assassination? Like, some dude goes in for a handshake at a campaign event, and decides to just powerbomb the fucker into the pavement instead and breaks their neck? It feels like the sort of thing that would have happened at least once in history, but a cursory attempt to research the topic just turns up a bunch of anecdotes about Assassin's Creed.
