Mei is lying down in the purple grass with Teashle, staring at the night clouds with a smile. She says "We're floating right above Equestria, actually! Well... what's left of it, at least. We've been calling it “Dark Slumber” ever since the Tantabus took over the islands centuries and centuries ago!"

And continues "The In-betweens are domains that float between our land and the darker lands below. You could say that our society is divided into three parts like this!"

“Anything from the In-betweens and up is part of Dreamtide, and anything from the In-betweens and down, is part of the Dark Slumber! It's super easy to understand!”

Rainbow Dash is in the middle of the shadows, holding a bloodied axe – it's visible that she's exhausted. With her hooves stained in red and her bloodshot eyes, she says “End of the cycle, whore.”

Still exhausted, Rainbow Dash is now sitting at a table. Blood drips from her nostrils, and from the small cut on her cheek. Her eyes are fixed on the pony in front, which would be Pinkie Pie; the party pony asks her “What gave it?”

The image then moves to Pinkie, who stares at Dash with a gaze that does not hold any shine. There's a milkshake beside her. Rainbow replies “Your eyes.” While Pinkie remains silent.

Pinkie's face darkens at the answer, and her smile widens eeriely. “Oh. So you can see it.” She says, indicating that she may be hiding something else behind those. Oddly enough, she seems to be excited about it.

In a different context, Pinkie stares at Dash through the bars of a dark cell. Only part of her face glows in the light along with her dull eyes. With a smile, she says “It’s only fun when you're not running.”

Well, the fever's over!! And what better way to spend some productivity than on a small project? :D

When it comes to stories and character development, it helps me a lot to write with them in a roleplay setting – ideas flow better, and I can develop some cool stuff from there!- But since I no longer have roleplay partners and socializing with people with the same tastes as me is a sinister task, I decided to develop the ideas in the drawings!

It's almost the same process, just a little more painful for the brain, haha--

Anyway! Here are some ideas I've been thinking about using for my writing of “Rocket to Insanity: Yesterday Forever!” project – I really want to delve a little deeper into the uhh... Well, insanity bit! I'm pretty inspired for this one in particular, so maybe I can pull off something cool. ✨

Drive: So what about Daiquiri and her echo Lovely how well do they get along?

The picture depicts Daiquiri holding Lovely, her echo, by a leash – Lovely is collared, and is breathing heavily with a ‘dazed’ / excited expression. Daiquiri, however, appears to be pretty neutral.

“She’s not so creepy, or bothersome to deal with- But she's very fragile.”

A slice of cake and half a can of orange Fanta to whoever can guess which desire Lovely was born from, who's in ⁉️ 💪🦈

Happy Halloween knocking nicely on your door go down into your basement is dressed as Batman are you home FRIND I have a bag of sweets for us

The picture shows Banana Pie standing by the Golden Oak Library's door in the middle of Halloween’s night – where Mei and her family live.

Nobody's at home. At the door, a note says: "Dear candy seekers, *nobody's* home! We're all out on a cabbage hunt with the *Apples*. Better luck next year!"

Terra: Paca if you trust *making sure they aren't overheard by accident* "her" then I and hopefully others will give her trust too. I have no problem with her trying to playfully scare.

Alpaca is in the image, with a slight smile on her face as her gaze shifts to the left. Suri is right behind her, covered in darkness – her eyes suggest she might be smiling as well; something that would be normal for the character.

Alpaca's speech bubbles say: “She’s all or nothing. Suri just needs to learn to go easy on the pranks, someone might get hurt...” Following up to another: “And well... I know how Mei treats her echo. Talking about mine with my family is out of question for now.”

“Thank you for being so understanding, though! I wish they would try to take a different view of this trouble, too...”

Something invisible is sitting on the bed behind you, Mei.

Alpaca answers the ask instead of Mei, who is sleeping on the bed in the background. With a wide, nervous look, she whispers, “Shhh! Mei can’t know that Suri is out. None of the others can!...”

Following up: “I'm afraid of what they might do to her if they find out, especially my mother...” Emphasizing that it would be a problem if the rest of her family found out that her echo is not inside her head, but outside in the real world.

With a downcast gaze now, she continues: “Suri doesn't come from a desire I would like to have, I know... but... she is still a part of me.”

Then, to the second speech bubble in the picture; “I need to accept this. I need to find a way to understand it better...”

“Suri isn't bad, I'm sure of it. She just likes to scare others sometimes...”

Some characters have stars in their eyes, and it's not just an aesthetic choice- It's something I'm planning for the future!

Actually, some sort of tall, two-horned creature is following you.

Mei answers the ask with a certain air of relief at seeing that she is not going crazy. Wrapped in a purple blanket, her speech bubble reads “If you guys can see it too, then that means I'm not that crazy! I thought it was just my lack of sleep at first,” then move on to the next balloon; “but I started to see that thing a lot more often. it only appears in reflections, like a ghost trapped in the mirror world!”

At the back of the room, Alpaca stares at Mei with an air of curiosity.

Mei then continues with a unimpressed gaze: “That batch of mangoes we won in a Krazy Kart Contest? Gone. Pretty sure it ate everything. Now I just gotta find a way to prove it.”

Alpaca, on the other hand, faces the other side of her own bed, where an invisible creature seems to have sat beside her with a soft “pomf” sound; Suri, her echo!

Mei finishes with one last speech bubble “Crazy stuff, huh?” while Alpaca, in the background, looks at Suri with an upset look. Her speech bubble says “You never told me you liked mango...”

“I hope it stays away from the cookie jar...”

Coming back to this art style after so long feels like a regression; not because I dislike it, but because it's basically the starting point of my arting journey. It's possible that I'll stay in this style for a while, until I can find a better way to evolve. Even then, thanks to all of you for following my little blog!!

I'll start to place some alternative texts on my answered asks! Maybe this will make some things less confusing.
