honestly if kai had a main villain he had to defeat, i think he should ‘defeat’ them with love.

think about it: it would be so on par with kai’s character, demonstrating kai’s courage to defeat an enemy by showing them the value of others, the fact that loving itself is something so courageous

i think that it would show kai in a true light, because we all know he isnt actually  cocky or rude as ninjago potrays him sometimes

honestly it would be so cute to see kai extending a hand to  his ‘villian’ and helping them up, and embracing them bc that is literally what kai would do.

ninjago missed so many opportunities with kai and it makes me so sad sometimes

in season 16 in finale episodes the scene  where  skylor was making noodles for people in the newspaper warehouse.  kai was cheering everyone up and singing and passing out noodles and it made me so happy. like look at him. look at our fire ninja. he is so loving. i love kai so much

what if ninjago just renamed all fire hazard signs to kai hazard ones

pov you’re a psychopathic sea creature who would like to dominate ninjago city and you encounter a five foot tall human hedgehog, who seems to have think that you’ve forgotten him, so you attempt to hit him with your tentacle tail

seriously though I wish we had more dialogue between these two.. the interactions r so funny

yeah everyone focuses about nya’s connection to nyad, but if nya is technically one with the ocean, and nya is basicslly a part of kai, isnt kai basicslly connected to nyad too?? like wouldn’t it be awesome if human nya still had the ability to talk to nyad after she unmerged and stuff?? And since nya can do it kai could kinda do it too??

like if nya could talk to nyad as separate beings, but still be connected, through their magic? and kai maybe not being able to talk to nyad but being able to feel her, embrace her because after all, nyas blood is within him too, and so with alongside shared blood comes shared bonds, right?

can you imagine kai feeling upset or maybe lonely, nya not being there bc maybe she’s on a mission so he sits alongside the ocean, nyad joining him and creating little jellyfish that float around kai, to cheer him up?

can you imagine kai and nyad dancing across the shore, nya secretly recording them from a distance?

and maybe whenever kai goes near the ocean, nya and nyad can both feel his warmth and so there’s an array of fish and various sea creatures that suddenly appear alongside kai, kinda making the ocean a bit more magical?? idk I think It would be such a beautiful concept

raging over the fact ninjago is ending without giving us major rgb plot content

very dearly beloved yet incredibly detested ninjago writers, since you cannot do it yourself, allow me to give you some guidance. introducing: a guide to writing kai

1: childhood. coping mechanisms, emotions, relationships, and so many other countless things are originated from our childhood experiences. show us how kai took charge, how he reacted when his parents left. did he break down crying, suck it up and get himself together for nyas sake? did his fear of being useless and his habit of undervaluing himself originate from the fact his parents had left him? I want to see kai move on as a child and yet stumble and fall at the same time. i wanna see the unresolved trauma please because we all know our boy has lots of that

2: green ninja. what’s wrong writers?? are you afraid to tell us his true motives for him wanting to be the green ninja? it’s because his constant fear of being worthless leaded to his wanting to be the green ninja? was he scared he couldn’t be able to protect those he loved? did he want to be green ninja out of fear of being undervalued and left behind by the team, like his parents left him behind? so many question so little answers

3: bravery through love. kai canonically represents bravery, but the ninjago short only presented this bravery through physical action. kai is one of the bravest in another act as well: love. kai’s continuation of love and care toward the team and kids in general has been shown time and time again in the show. physically affectionate, supportive, understanding, and caring to each ninja individually is literally kai’s thing. he readily loved his parents even though they ‘abandoned them’ long ago, when nya was not brave enough to (valid, btw). he is very vocal on how much he loves people, especially nya and lloyd. he loves kids and animals alike (making friends with dragons, naturally affectionate with kids). he wholeheartedly loves people despite the fear of not being loved back, and despite his childhood trauma, and i think thats the best and most beautiful kind of bravery. and i think if the show points this quality out for those who cannot see it, it would contribute so much to his character. kai is such a loving person he loves everyone i think i might cry

I WAS REWATCHING THE OLDER SEASONS AND, he holds the sword of fire with his LEFT HAND. AND IN RECENT EPISODES  holds swords in both hands and USES THEM with both hands and HOW HAVE I NEVER REALIZED THIS?!?!?

I don’t think we talk enough about the scene where Lloyd farts on screen

lloyd is the epitome of that one quote

literally all the ninja are

just slap them on a poster with that quote and boom therapists come rushing

crying screaming sobbing on the floor because no one loves nya and lloyd the way kai does

he’s always looking at them with unconditional love

Do you think the sibling banter between the Smith siblings goes over the head of thecrest of the ninjas from time to time since esentially they are only children, and don't always get it?

honestly I feel like half of the smith sibling banter is things the others have absolutely no context of and it’s funnier if the others deliberately don’t want to have any context because then you’d be a part of the battlefield and oh boy

when the smith siblings argue it turns into a banter field. get it bc it’s a battlefield now everyone laugh I’m so funny and btw of course the arguments have their limitations, and don’t last more than three minutes

but also I do personally feel like Lloyd doesn’t argue like he’s just not that kind of person, he’d talk things through and whatver

and it’s also funny to imagine the three at literally any store and there you see a short hedgehog aka kai + the 6 ft ocean gal aka nya both starting world war three and then ur average window cleaner aka lloyd dead on the ground waiting to be buried 6ft under (cause of death: secondhand embarrassment)

What if Crystalized ends like MotO but this time Lloyd goes with the FSM to another realm (under the impression his golden oni-dragon powers are too powerful or something) and the new series in 2023 just is the rest of the ninja training to fist fight God to get their lil bro back?

well my dearest anon how I wish and pray you will be correct. I love this idea so so so much. maybe garmadon ends up staying behind too, training the ninja alongside his own brother to get his son back. angst. fighting. goddd. there is so much leftover potential for ninjago but the writers keep messing up certain things (ex plot holes, nonexistent kai development arcs) and it just makes me wish the fandom could seize the writers and just become them ourselves

me when I see a kai analysis that is in depth and truly portrays Kai is a wonderful way

lets all start a revolution so we get more kai and nya and lloyd let us all rise and conquer

I love people who genuinely observe and analyze kai’s character. people who truly believe and know that his“selfish and egotistical” personality is all just a facade. people who understand that kai isn’t stupid or dumb, but is actually very clever in his own special way. people who can portray him better than the writers of ninjago themselves. people who understand the reasons behind his actions. people who don’t have him as their favorite character but don’t stamp him as the egotistical member and recognize/ analyze all his good qualities. people who have him as their favorite character and continually post about him. people who take their time and understand. just I love you guys so much <3

what do you think about kailor

it’s not a bad ship- it’s really not. I like skylor and kai’s dynamic, but honestly? they just don’t feel like a potential couple, yk? Kai and Skylor are seen ‘flirting’ with each other in seasons throughout ninjago, and it’s understandable why some people think they like each other. they probably did, but I think it was just the type of crush you kinda just get bored of. I believe that Kai and skylor would be better off as good friends. Friends can flirt. It doesn’t need to mean anything. I do it all the time- additionally, it would be nice to have a  friendship with a girl/boy and flirt  w/them, but just for fun. I think this would go very well with kai and skylor, since this kinda of duo fits them and it’s cute.

 I think If tommy wanted them to be canon, he would’ve done it a long time ago. also kai is impatient. if he wanted to be with skylor, he would’ve jumped on the chance long time ago. he probably did like her at some point, most likely during the tournament of element season, and gradually kinda just got bored/ fell out of interest. idk. maybe it’s just me but I definitely don’t see any ‘romantic’ chemistry.  def see the close friendship though.

is anyone else like super scared and excited for part two of crystallized like I wanna watch it the moment it comes out but at the same time I never wanna watch it but I’m excited about Lloyd and garmadon and the oni but

I’m terrified that someone might die or that lloyd might get even more traumatized (the poor kid) or that we won’t get the kai and nya scenes we have been begging and pleading for or the development arcs

like tommy anderson has done so good and so horribly bad at the same time

Respectfully, some of you in the ninjago fandom REALLY need to get this in your ears:

the amount of grief jay felt about nya’s death IS NOT LARGER THAN THE AMOUNT OF GRIEF KAI FELT.

familial love and romantic love are two different things. and yes, depending on circumstances and the people themselves, one can be stronger than the other.

BUT NOT IN NYA’S CASE. KAI AND JAY LOVE NYA EQUALLY. JAY DID NOT MISS NYA MORE THAN KAI. KAI JUST HID HIS GRIEF, AND MAYBE IS COPING IN A DIFFERENT WAY. KAI AND JAY ARE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. BUT THEY LOVE NYA EQUALLY.

so stop saying jay was more upset over nya’s death when kai literally held her when she was a child and raised her and was there for nya her entire life. nya missed them both, and they both missed her. thats it.

also because he always either sacrifices himself (ex. prime empire) or something else happens and he can’t be there

give him the power. don’t be scared. the only thing to be afraid of here is kai stans/kai development havers

impossibly stubborn, jumps straight to the most extreme course of action imaginable, presumes his sheer will can see him through, despite near-impossible goals that require nothing but the very peak of his abilities, yet is extraordinarily determined and ultimately refuses to give up, and is someone that would be voluntarily be your loving older brother

yes that sounds like kai

I think the reason why I love Kai and Nyas dynamic so much is because of three reasons

1) I’m a sucker for any sibling dynamic

2) the entire fact that their childhood consisted of only each other + they know each other so well; probably better than they know themselves and I could go on and on and on about how 10000 different reasons why Kai and nya ( +Lloyd!) have the best dynamic in the entire show and that’s why this same show GATEKEEPS THEIR MOMENTS LIKE BRO. GIVE US KAI AND NYA HUGS/MOMENTS/THINGS/TALKS/EVERYTHING IN S16 TO MAKE UP FOR SEABOUND.

3) their elements

I believe that out of all the elements in Ninjago ( or in any other show, or LITERALLY just nature itself ) fire and water are the most unique because of one reason: they are the elements that are embedded with the convergence of opposites. creation, and destruction. life, and death. light, and darkness. for example:

Water provides shelter for sea creatures. Water keeps us hydrated, nourished. Water can provide us with energy (dams). Yet, water causes floods and tsunamis. Water can cause you to drown. Water takes lives.

Without the sun we would die. The sun helps plants grow and protects us from the cold and is the source of all our food. Fire burns down forests and destroys homes. Fire inflicts pain and burns on human beings. Fire turns anything in its way to ashes. Fire takes lives.

See? good and bad, bad and good. And the fact that both their elements hold these concepts is such an amazing thing to me because that just seals the wholesomeness of their dynamic even more.

do you guys remember in the beginning /middle of ninjago we would rarely see cole but in the recent seasons he finally has the spotlight he deserves

we all know out of every ninja he had one of the BEST self centered season like master of the mountain (season 13) was absolutely AMAZING and cole SLAYED like the king he is and just <333333

our beloved our king how could anyone hate him

also I feel like people always underestimate cole and his power like kid is the master of EARTH you do realize he can split the earth open or crush your skull right but he would probably choose to hug you instead
